I finally got one right. You can't tell by looking, but he was checking out my bbq grill.

And here he is wondering why I haven't mowed the lawn yet this week.

It's so sad that the best photos I got of the woodpecker were these:

Perfect pose ruined by shutter speed I suppose.

Seeing so many blurry pics of this bird has warped my own perception of what it really looked like.

I can't tell if it's a downy or hairy woodpecker from any of these photos.

Was he wearing one of these horrible things?

No, but he did mention that he was an Obama supporter. 8-b

I've always thought that blue jays were mean and aggressive birds...

I'm told they are mean and aggressive, too, but at least they're pretty. And willing to come right up to my window and be the first non-blurry bird pic.

They are pretty - and apparently they like having their picture taken. :) I've always been a fan of the cardinal.

I like the cardinal, too. I have a couple of female cardinals in my yard, a male with mites (poor guy), and a healthy very shy male. They never seem to stick around for photos much.

Speaking of things that are red, I have something to give back to you.

Yes. I walk by it at least once per day and feel progressively worse about not getting it back to you much earlier.

I think I have a CD of yours as well - Stella Link, I believe. :)

I was thinking that if I had your address or met for coffee, I could send/bring the CD and a bottle of tasty (won the American Royal blue ribbon a few years ago) and healthy (gluten-free, fat-free, etc.) Daniel's BBQ sauce.

Truthfully, I do not think I have missed the QOTSA CD, so if you want it you can keep it. However, I should probably get the Stella Link EP back to you. It seems like I remember you being quite a fan of theirs. Just let me know!
